Hobby Photographer Michelle
Hi, I’m Michelle! I’m a hobby photographer who enjoys capturing special moments and creating memories through photography.
My photography journey started in 2018 with equestrian photography. I began taking pictures of horses and riders, including professional show jumper Kristen Vanderveen. Along the way, I was fortunate enough to have some of my photos featured in The Chronicle of the Horse and on the Bull Run’s Faustino de Tili breeding website.
Horses have always been a big part of my life, so equestrian photography will always hold a special place in my heart.
Around 2023–2024, I started stepping away from photographing horse shows as much and began exploring people portraits. I enjoyed getting behind the camera to capture individuals, couples, families, and special moments.
Eventually, I stepped back from photography to focus on other things in life. Even though I wasn’t picking up my camera as often, my love for photography never went away.
Now I’m looking forward to slowly getting back behind the camera and picking up where I left off!
This time, I’m hoping to focus more on people portraits and try something I’ve been wanting to do for a while — senior portraits for graduating high school students!
I would also love to continue capturing families, couples, and individuals while occasionally returning to my equestrian photography roots.
Photography is something I do as a hobby, and I want to keep it fun, creative, and enjoyable without putting too much pressure on myself.
I’m excited to see where this next chapter takes me, continue learning, and hopefully capture some beautiful memories for others along the way.
Thank you for visiting my little photography website and following my journey!
